Sestri Ponente is an area to the west of Genoa, that has its own identity, with its own theatre, station, pedestrian area and pizzeria, La Lampara, whose walls are covered with old photos of Sestri. This is one of the most popular pizzerias in west Genoa with tens of different kinds of pizza and quick, polite service. The atmosphere is pleasant, although customers might have to be patient on busy evenings such as Saturday night, when you could find yourself waiting for a table.
decor: This is a relatively small, yet welcoming place with a lovely wood burning oven where you can watch the pizza makers at work.
