Situated away from the center, this is is a good place for an aperitif on your way out. Situated between Albaro and Sturla, areas on the east of the old town center, this pub has clearly taken its inspiration from the American writer whose name it shares, with its wooden interior, good choice of cocktails and spirits and period photos on the walls. Leaving the pub you might expect to be in Cuba or Spain or even in a resort on the edge of the desert. It is only a shame that the external panorama is rather more anonymous, not terribly attractive and very busy. You are better off dreaming at the bar.
