On the long and lucid marble bar cod would once have been served. Today the fishy odours have been replaced by the sound of jazz and cocktails, beers and appetisers. It has kept its old workshop appearance with marble walls and iron bars on the ceiling from which cured ham would have been hung in the 19th century. It is really a cafe cum museum, as on the lower floors you can visit the medieval cisterns that came to light with the owners patient excavation works. This is a quiet venue for aperitifs and after dinner drinks, very pleasant and definitely interesting.
