The restructuring of Genoa's old town led to many authentic, beautiful places being sacrificed such as this old and dusty cellar, once one of this quarter's bars, frequented by bohemian artists and intellectuals. The place was taken over by the Tre Merli management who opened their second establishment in Genoa (the first being in Corso Magenta). Renovation works were fortunately limited, conserving the charm of the previous establishment with its paving stones like the alleyways outside, the large room with high ceiling, its atmosphere of a French wine cellar and partially visible kitchen. The name of the place guarantees good quality wines and food.
